SMITHFIELD, R.I. — It is a new day for Credit Union Central Falls.
The credit union has recently changed its name to Navigant Credit Union.
According to Navigant CU President/CEO Gary Furtado, the new name was selected for its unique ties to Rhode Island.

"It has strong connections to the Ocean State through its nautical implications," said Furtado. "But more importantly, it reflects the role we play in our members' lives–that of financial guide–helping our members chart a successful course."
So far members have been embracing the new identity and are enthusiastic about the direction that Navigant CU is headed.
