DALLAS — OmniAmerican Bank, formerly OmniAmerican Credit Union, has a new CEO, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The former credit union CEO turned banker, Larry Duckworth, died unexpectedly on Feb. 8.

The new CEO is named Tim Carter and is a former banker who left banking for a time to run a local United Way organization, the paper reported. He will take the position officially on June 25.

Carter moved to Fort Worth from Houston in 1992, when he was named president of Texas Commerce Bank Fort Worth. He then served as chairman of Chase Bank Fort Worth after that institution merged with Texas Commerce until accepting a buyout from that organization in early 2001, the paper said.
