PASADENA, Calif. — The $675 million Unitus Community Credit Union has implemented Wescom Resources Group's Internet home banking solution.
The credit union selected WRG's solution for its functionality and robust security features, which are important to its membership, it said.
"Many of our members were asking for more security and they are thrilled with the additions," said Jason Werts, vice president of sales & service of Unitus Community Credit Union. "The staff is pleased with the secured e-mail as it allows them to have more complete and robust conversations with our members. Members also appreciate the ability to fully communicate with their credit union electronically."

Unitus also wanted the ability to gather financial data from different systems and present it in one unified view for the member. With the WRG product, the credit union will begin later this summer to incorporate detailed information on off-host mortgages into its home banking. "The mortgage information feature is something both members and staff were requesting and we are pleased that we will be able to provide this in the near future," added Werts.
Unitus members were notified in advance of the new changes they would see online. "It generated a great deal of excitement and saw a marked increase in activity within the first few days," added Werts.
