REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. -- Provident Credit Union is showing itssupport for the Education Coalition for Hispanics in Oakland.
|On June 9th the Education Coalition for Hispanics in Oakland andthe Oakland Unified School District are holding the 7th AnnualLatino Honor Roll Celebration.
|Approximately 1,700 Latino students will be awarded certificatesof outstanding academic.
|Awards are presented each year to students who have achieved andmaintained a 3.0 GPA or better within Oakland public middle andhigh schools.
|Provident CU President Wayne Bunker said, "With all the recentchallenges facing Oakland schools, we want to show our support forthe Oakland community and students. We believe education iscritical in creating a vibrant and strong community and we want torecognize the achievements of these students."
