AUSTIN, Texas — The Credit Union Information Security Professionals Association is preparing to launch a study of security challenges and best practices among credit unions and is seeking industry input.
The organization is soliciting feedback from credit unions of all sizes on topics such as security strategies, procedures, staffing and solutions. The input will be used to create a study that helps "shed light on emerging issues and best practices for managing technology risk," the CUISPA says.
"As a national consortium, CUISPA reaches out to more than 1,400 credit union IT security managers," says CUISPA Executive Director Kelly Dowell. "Gathering input from this community on everything from e-mail retention practices to where credit unions are experiencing the greatest losses will help all credit unions benchmark their programs and focus their efforts on the appropriate issues."
