RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. -- Joe James, a market research analystat Credit Union Direct Lending has been training for the King'sTrail Triathlon in Maui, Hawaii on June 10 as a member of theLeukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training.

James worked for Callahan and Associates in Washington, D.C. andran in the Cherry Blossom Run each year with their running team.Since moving to California in July last year he started crosstraining to improve his fitness level. "Just running was startingto wear me out and I wanted to mix things up," he said.

James joined a group called Team in Training, which meets onweekends for group training and social events. It also has a higherpurpose, too, and that is to raise money for worthy causes. TheOrange County and Inland Empire Chapter of Team in Training israising money to help stop Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma fromtaking more lives. Joe's team is sponsoring Gavin Ponsen, a localboy who is undergoing treatment for Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, andhe's trying to raise $4,900 to participate in the triathlon.
