SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Sunmark Federal Credit Union has recently acquired Colonie-based Hallmark Services, Inc., an independent insurance agency.
As part of the acquisition, Hallmark Services, Inc., will provide Sunmark FCU with approximately 1,600 new members and add 2,100 policies to Sunmark's Insurance Services division. In addition, Sunmark Federal Credit Union will add two employees from Hallmark Services, Inc.

The acquisition will extend Sunmark FCU's insurance service capabilities and increase the credit union's member base.
Hallmark Services, Inc. insurance offerings include all lines of personal and commercial property and casualty insurance. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
