BREMERTON, Wash. — Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union says a new software solution will allow it to save $120,000 a year in staff time previously spent gathering audit information.

The $691 million CU has deployed the Symantec Control Compliance Suite, automating the process of checking every system and user account to ensure that proper security configurations and permissions are in place.

The software has reduced from more than 40 hours to two hours the amount of IT staff time required to prepare for a security audit, according to Kitsap Community FCU's Technical Security Manager Michael Mally.
