TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida Credit Union League Senior Vice President of Administration Cassandra J. Grayson has recently been appointed to the Financial Literacy Council by Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink.
"We are especially pleased about the appointment of Cassandra to this council," said Guy Hood, FCUL president/CEO. "She will represent credit unions well in this critical effort."
The Council was created by the Florida Legislature in 2006 to provide a single state resource to the general public on financial literacy. CFO Sink will use the Financial Literacy Council to help educate Floridians about important financial issues, such as avoiding excessive debt, the importance of saving, making sound investment decisions, and planning for retirement.
Grayson will serve on the council with eight other individuals appointed throughout Florida by CFO Sink. The appointment lasts for three years.
