BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Redstone Federal Credit Union Vice President of Communications and Business Development Joyce Dye recently received the Business/Industry Award during Alabama A&M University's annual Black Tie Scholarship Ball.

During the event, the Business and Industry Cluster recognizes business leaders who have partnered with the school to develop curriculum and enhance student experiences in various industry fields.

As a cluster member Redstone FCU works with the university to assist in curriculum development and enhancement, long- and short-range planning, contract and institutional research, development, faculty-student exchange programs, internships, co-ops, job placement of graduates, and fundraising.

Dye, a member of the executive committee for the university's Business and Industry Cluster, directs the strategic planning of marketing, human resources, employee development, financial literacy programs, organizational development, as well as community and youth involvement at the credit union.

In 2005, she was honored with the Volunteer of the Year Award from United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley. Under her chairmanship, the CUES Alabama Council received both the Glenn Johnson Outstanding Council Award and the Everett Wood Most Improved Council.

She currently serves as chair elect for the Tennessee Valley Better Business Bureau and represents more than 30 years of senior management experience in the fields of strategic planning, marketing and human resources to nonprofits, credit unions and associations.
