GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Xtend Inc. said its flagship offering–SRS Bookkeeping Service–has now been adopted by 28 credit unions in 10 states.

The CUSO was formed in 2002 and shares a home address with strategic partner CU*Answers, which provides core processing and a range of other services to more than 165 credit unions nationwide.

Xtend specializes in outsourced back-office services, including daily balancing of share draft, ACH and ATM records. Recently, mortgage and credit card servicing and conversion services were added.

"Credit unions of all sizes are realizing the benefits of outsourcing back-office tasks to a trusted and proven cost-effective partner. This has allowed many to get back into the mortgage and credit card businesses with minimal impact on their staff," said Scott Collins, president of Xtend (www.xtendcu.com).

Xtend and CU*Answers (www.cuanswers.com) say they expect that one fourth of the credit unions running the CU*BASE core processing system will be using Xtend's outsourcing services by the end of the summer.

"Our SRS team has tripled in just 18 months in response to the growing demand for our services, and we look forward to growing alongside our credit union partners in the coming years," Collins said.
