FORT WORTH, Texas — There are big branching moves in store for EECU.
The credit union has recently broken ground on its Northside branch, which is scheduled to open its doors in November 2007.
The community has been buzzing about the facility.

"Throughout our growth, one thing has never changed, and that is our focus on meeting the financial needs of individuals and business owners in the communities we serve," said EECU President/CEO Lonnie Nicholson.
In attendance at the ground breaking ceremony were many guests from the city and state governments, as well as local businesses. Several dignitaries spoke on behalf of their organizations, showing great support of the newest addition to the EECU family including Rose Navejar, president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Salvador Espino, Fort Worth City Council District 2 representative; Francisco Alvarez, president Federaci?n de Clubes Zacatecanos; and Marsha Etie, representative for Congresswoman Kay Granger's office.
EECU has also celebrated the grand opening of its Clifford Branch. In honor of opening its 12th branch EECU weeklong celebrations include a $250 daily prize giveaway, as well as a grand prize giveaway of $5,000. In addition to giveaways, special product promotions are in place, such as a $100 reward when any checking account with direct deposit is opened. Also, exclusively at the Clifford Branch, when members get a pre-approved auto loan certificate and fund their loan with EECU they will receive a $100 gas card.
The Grand Opening Celebration is a family-oriented event featuring many exciting activities, such as a bounce house, face painter, and an on site Radio Disney broadcast.
