CLEVELAND — Hyland Software Inc. has released a new version of its OnBase enterprise content management solution that focuses on content-driven business processes. OnBase 6.4 includes improved integration between OnBase functions through familiar Web-based and desktop tools such as Microsoft Office programs, including advanced repository services for Sharepoint Server 2007.

Integration upgrades with other widely used platforms such as Java-based Apple Macintosh and IBM Websphere systems also are included, the company says.

OnBase 6.4 also features new HTML Public Access Controls to provide a way for an institution, such as a government agency, to securely provide online self-service access to public records such as tax documentation, land records and 311 requests. Also included is encrypted CD/DVD publishing, which adds an additional layer of security to protect OnBase documents and databases published to disks, Hyland Software says.
