JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — John Schooler, the former president of Fiserv's USERS credit union core processing subsidiary, is back in the credit union space as senior vice president and general manager of the Real Time Systems Group of Fidelity National Information Systems.
Schooler left Valley Forge, Pa.-based USERS late last year. Details about his departure were scarce. He takes over for Santo Cannone at Real Time Systems. The move was announced at the Misers Users Group meeting last week.
Schooler briefly worked for software firm Akcelerant, Malvern, Pa., after leaving USERS.

Fidelity came barging on the credit union scene in 2004 when it acquired Aurum Technology, which at the time had a mix of 1,100 credit union and community bank clients. It brought Fidelity a solid business for both large and small credit unions given that Aurum had acquired Computer Consultants Corp prior to being bought by Fidelity. Computer Consultants served about 600 small credit unions at the time of the deal.
Fidelity is also a player in the credit union card business. It acquired Certegy in 2005.
