TOTOWA, N.J. — To celebrate the sixth annual National Credit Union Youth Week North Jersey Federal Credit Union will host a variety of activities for kids under the age of 18. The weeklong festivities were established to stress the importance of financial education and increase awareness among children and parents.

CUNA's theme this year is "Stash Your Cash."

During Credit Union Youth Week, new NJFCU Kids Kash Club members can get an extra $10 in their account when they make a deposit of $50 or more. Existing NJFCU Kids Kash Club members will also get an extra $10 in their account when they make a deposit of $10 or more.

Kids 12 and under can also participate in the CU's "Stash Your Cash" coloring contest. Three winners will be selected from each branch and awarded $25 in their NJFCU Kids Kash Club Account.

Other NJFCU Kids Kash Club benefits include–receiving a $1 for every "A" on their report card, up to $5 per marking period, using NJFCU's Change Exchange at the Totowa branch, and access to Guides to Independence and Googolplex, which are interactive financial literacy Web sites for children.
