EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Continental Federal Credit Union said last week it had learned that individuals representing themselves as conducting a survey on behalf of the CU have been calling Continental's members.
"We want you to know that Continental FCU is NOT conducting a member survey at this time, and these individuals are NOT calling on behalf of your credit union," the $182 million Continental said on its Web site. "While we do contact our members from time to time to hear what's important to you so we can enhance our products and services to bring you even greater value, we are NOT conducting a survey now."
Continental FCU President/CEO Tom Glatt said they have not tracked the source of the survey calls, but members contacted said they hung up before answering questions, suspicious of the origin.
