BEDFORD, Mass. — A new service designed to thwart session-hijacking keyloggers and other attacks is being launched by RSA, The Security Division of EMC.

RSA says the RSA FraudAction Anti-Trojan Service is multi-layered, combining aggregated RSA and anti-virus partner data to identify and analyze crimeware, help financial institutions block consumer access to known infection points on the World Wide Web, and shut down targeted infection and drop-sites (the destination, typically an e-mail box or server, to which crimeware sends compromised credentials stolen from consumers). "Our 24×7 Anti-Fraud Command Center has detected and shut down more than 32,000 unique phishing attacks, and we also have broad detection and blocking networks already in place with leading anti-virus, anti-spam and ISP players. We have leveraged this infrastructure and are expanding it to cover the specific needs and skill-sets needed to deal with crimeware," says Marc Gaffan, director of marketing for consumer solutions for RSA (www.rsa.com). The RSA FraudAction Anti-Trojan service will be generally available in April.
