LATHAM, N.Y. — CUNA's Regulatory Compliance School traveled to Albany, N.Y. last week.

The event, held in conjunction with the New York State and New Jersey Credit Union leagues, brought in participants from throughout the two states March 12-16. Crucial regulatory topics were covered during the sessions ranging from mortgage and consumer lending to deposit accounts to general operations. Attendees also received a complete set of six RegTraC modules (CUNA's Regulatory Compliance Training and Certification Program) for use as ongoing reference guides.

Testing was available for those interested in achieving the Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) designation.

Instructors included RaAnn Wood, CEO of California Center CU; Michael Carter, the New York League's compliance education specialist; Anne Whatley, director of regulatory affairs and staff attorney for the Iowa Credit Union League; and Ty Parker, nationally recognized speaker on financial institution operational and compliance topics.

Next year's update program will be held in Atlantic City, N.J. the week of March 10.
