ONTARIO, Calif. — CO-OP Financial Services is rolling out a product that it says will help credit unions more effectively cross- sell products and services through its ATM screens.

"CO-OP ATMContent Manager is a user-friendly Web tool that allows credit unions to create, manage and deliver ATM screen messages on their own terms," said Kathy Herziger, CO-OP vice president of product development. "This enhanced system gives credit unions the flexibility to fully control member impressions through customized Welcome, Wait and Thank You ATM screens."

Currently, customizing ATM screens means paying for development, scheduling changes as part of database maintenance, visiting the ATM to manually load graphic files, or paying a service provider to load custom graphics at the ATM, CO-OP said.

"The current method for changing ATM screen messages is a long and costly process," said Herziger. "With ATMContent Manager, a credit union can utilize a Web-based application to control all aspects of ATM screen changes, including scheduling, presentation and member marketing. The full benefits of having complete control can be realized when credit unions use CO-OP to drive their ATM terminals instead of intercept processors."

Mountain America Credit Union in Utah has been using ATMContent Manager since January 2007 on its almost 80 ATMs.

"We have already run two full marketing campaigns on all of our ATMs," said Debra Villarreal, Mountain America's ATM and card services manager. "We can promote any of our products–such as auto loans, equity lines of credit or card services–by downloading the marketing materials, and within a few clicks, we've launched a new campaign. It is user-friendly and an effective way to grab the attention of our members."
