TAMPA, Fla. — It was a very happy New Year for the $2.1 billion GTE Federal Credit Union.

|

Unknown to its members, the credit union began its data processing conversion to the Open Solutions system on Dec. 29, concluding on New Year's Day. Though it culminated on the first day of 2007, the CU spent all of 2006 preparing for the conversion.

GTE also introduced new consumer loan, mortgage and online account access solutions.
