TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Credit Union League Service Group has teamed up with Telecom Recovery to help credit unions and members across the country stay connected.
The telephone recovery and business continuity company offers protection service that enables callers to get through to a business' main phone or fax number in the event of a disaster or disruption.
Here's how it works. Telecom Recovery sets up any credit union that chooses to use the service. Calls into the credit unions will be routed to a secure location in the event of a natural disaster or some other reason for an interruption in communications services. Staffers can trigger the transfer of incoming calls to a backup system, and return the call flow back to normal via a special access Web page.

Telecom Recovery will help plan, implement, test, monitor, and maintain the incoming call backup or overflow service. There is no equipment or software to buy, no need to change telephone system providers, and a Telecom Continuity Plan is provided for auditing purposes.
"Telecom Recovery provides a crucial link between members and their credit union. Credit unions need to communicate with members in the event of a disruption in service, and Telecom Recovery offers a seamless continuance of communications that provides comfort during uncertain times," said FCUL Service Group Chief Operating Officer Marvin Garland.
