BASKING RIDGE, N.J. — The Credit Union Mortgage Alliance Network, is standing behind the New Jersey Credit Union League's credit union awareness advertising campaign by making a donation.
“By helping to fund this dynamic initiative, our donation allowed us to proactively support the credit union cause in New Jersey,” said Leo O'Donnell, assistant vice president, credit union relations, CUMAnet. “As a CUSO owned and operated solely by credit unions, NJCUL's campaign was a superb opportunity for us to further our ongoing commitment to the credit union philosophy.”
The campaign features “Bob, the Credit Union Guy” in a branding effort with the slogan “New Jersey's Credit Unions: The Difference YOU!,” which debuted in October of 2006. The campaign is licensed from the Utah League of Credit Unions.
A humorous and engaging character with which New Jersey credit union members and prospects can relate, Bob touts the credit union difference by focusing on credit union benefits, the fact that they are member owned and their commitment to the local community.
NJCUL has earmarked more than $100,000 for the cooperative's initiatives in New Jersey. The advertising cooperative is asking New Jersey's CUs to contribute the balance of funding based on their asset size.
According to NJCUL Director of Marketing and Communications Sharon Dilling, “CUMAnet's support of the campaign is a wonderful endorsement and illustrates just one of the ways in which our industry can come together to benefit the CUs and the public they serve.”
