RIDGECREST, Calif. — Effective Jan. 29, $16 million Searles LakeCommunity Federal Credit Union will change its name to DesertValleys Federal Credit Union. According to President/CEO Eric A.Bruen, the name change is necessary to communicate the creditunion's community charter boundaries to potential members.
|“This new name and new image is a way of embracing the fact thatchange is inevitable. We know that we are delivering the type ofproducts and services that can help our community members improvefinancially, but if they do not realize you are available to them,you are fighting an uphill battle,” Bruen said.
|The new Desert Valleys FCU will conduct two member appreciationevents to introduce the new name to the public, one at each of itstwo branches.
