SACRAMENTO — The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues announced two new additions to their government affairs department last week.

Jeremy Empol was hired as the new director of federal government grassroots advocacy, while Melissa Ameluxen will serve as the political grassroots development specialist; both started their new positions Jan. 2. Empol reports to Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Bob Arnould and Ameluxen reports to Empol. Both work out of the leagues' Sacramento office.

"We're pleased to welcome both Jeremy and Melissa to the Leagues," Arnould said. "Their substantial experience within the federal and state political landscapes will help our government affairs staff continue to provide quality advocacy efforts, such as our work on CURIA, that benefit our league-member credit unions."
