WASHINGTON — In Fortune 500 style, four credit unions were named to the National Cooperative Business Association's top 100 co-ops by revenue.
Navy Federal Credit Union was the first listed ranking, No. 18 for 2005 revenues, up from 22 the previous year. The world's largest credit union realized $1.61 billion in 2005, up from $1.36 billion in 2004.
U.S. Central jumped from No. 52 in 2004 to No. 27 for last year's revenues of $1.22 billion. In 2004, U.S. Central showed $756 million in revenues.
State Employees Credit Union (N.C.) also made the list, tumbling from No. 64 in 2004 to No. 70 in 2005. Pentagon Federal Credit Union was up from No. 95 in 2004 to No. 91 last year.
