MADISON, Wis. — The Credit Union Executives Society has donated $95,000 to help support initiatives designed to strengthen the credit union industry.

The funds have been split among the following four recipients: $50,000 to The Filene Research Institute to conduct research on ways to increase credit union membership; $25,000 to BizKid$, an initiative led by the Washington Credit Union League and Junior Achievement Worldwide to promote financial literacy to kids and credit union education to families; $10,000 to The Martin Luther King Memorial Foundation for a memorial to Dr. King Jr. (the Foundation's fundraising efforts are led by the African-American Credit Union Coalition); and $10,000 to the Cambodian Project, formed by the World Council of Credit Unions to help start credit unions in Cambodia.
