MADISON, Wis. — CUNA announced that a number of its board seats would be filled by candidates running unopposed while the results of three others will be determined by member votes.
Metro CU President/CEO Robert M. Cashman, Deseret First FCU President/CEO Kris J. Mecham, Kansas Credit Union Association President/CEO Marla Marsh, Woodstone CU President/CEO Susan Streifel, and Hawaii Credit Union League President Dennis Tanimoto have been named to CUNA Board seats because they were running unopposed. Cashman will begin his term on Jan. 1, filling the unexpired term of State Employees Federal Credit Union (N.Y.) CEO Patrick Calhoun, who is retiring. On Feb. 25, he will begin his full three-year term.

oDistrict 2, Class A: Bronco FCU (Franklin, Va.) CEO Robert Petty versus incumbent John A. Graham, president/CEO of Kentucky Employees CU, Frankfort, Ky.;
oDistrict 3, Class B: Incumbent Laida Garcia, Florida Central CU executive vice president in Tampa versus Latino Community CU (Durham, N.C.) chairman and co-founder John Herrera; and
oDistrict 4, Class C: CommunityAmerica CU CEO Dennis Pierce versus US FCU (Burnsville, Minn.) President/CEO William "Bill" Raker.
The winner of the District 4, Class C election–between Pierce and Raker–will begin his term on Dec. 20 when election results are announced to fill an unexpired term until February. Then on Feb. 25, the winner will begin a full three-year term.
All others will begin Feb. 25, following the Annual General Meeting to take place during the Governmental Affairs Conference slated for Feb. 25-28.
