SUITLAND, Md. — Longtime Andrews Federal Credit Union member Dr. Herbert Booth will be getting some much needed relief at the gas pumps. The lucky member is the grand prize winner of the credit union's $1,000 Gas Giveaway promotion.
The membership referral campaign ran throughout the summer and was designed to encourage current members to refer eligible family and friends to join the credit union. Those eligible members were then entered into a grand prize drawing to win $1,000 for gas.
A member for the past 30 years, Booth referred his sister, who had just moved from New York, to the credit union.

"I've never won anything before. I've been a member of AFCU for thirty years and have always been impressed with the personal care and attention given to me from their staff when I'm handling my financial business at the credit union," said Booth, "Whenever I'm doing research and shopping for the best rates for loans or any financial product, AFCU's rates have always been very competitive."
Plans are underway to continue encouraging current members to spread the word about the benefits of AFCU membership.
