Regarding your new online voting poll concerning lack of membership growth, I wish you had provided the option “all of the above.” I don’t believe it’s any one thing; it’s a combination of everything. And, another obstacle is the name “credit union.” Unless a consumer already knows what a credit union is, the name implies it’s where you get credit, which for many consumers is different than a loan. Also, the word “union” implies that it’s either run by a union, or you need to be a member of a union in order to join the credit union.
