ARLINGTON, Va. — NAFCU has announced that Edward Ambrose will serve as its new associate director of legislative affairs.
Ambrose previously worked in the office of Congresswoman Melissa Hart (R-Pa.), a member of the Ways & Means Committee and formerly Financial Services, ultimately as legislative assistant after two years. He worked on issues ranging from financial services, small business, telecom, education and taxation.
Prior to joining Hart's office, Ambrose served in the office of Senate Banking Committee Member Rick Santorum (R-Pa.).

"We look forward to getting him on board. I think he'll be an excellent addition to NAFCU's team," NAFCU Director of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler said. He added that Ambrose even gives golfing lessons to some key Hill staffers and members of Congress, in addition to his connections on the Ways & Means, Financial Services, and Senate Banking committees.
Before diving into politics, Ambrose was a member of the PGA and an Assistant Golf Professional at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Fla.; the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla.; and Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa.
The former Hill staffer earned his bachelor's degree in history from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa.
