State Employees’ Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., recently passed a milestone opening its 200th branch location in Hayesville. The CU attributes its growth quality to member service, added convenience and “word of mouth” advertising. With branches in 87 of North Carolina’s 100 counties, and over 900 Cash Points ATMs in all 100 counties, SECU is continually seeking to meet the needs of its members throughout the state. STCU Credit Union, Springfield, Mass., recently held the grand opening ceremony for its newest branch in the Westfield Shops. Many city and state officials joined the CU officers and staff to celebrate. During the grand opening, Chief of Staff for Senator Michael Knapik, Peter Miller, presented an official citation from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Senate commemorating the opening of STCU’s Westfield office. The citation was signed by Robert E. Travaglini, president of the Senate; William F. Welsh, clerk of the Senate; and Senator Michael R. Knapik. Langley Federal Credit Union, Newport News, Va., officially broke ground recently for its future branch location in the New Town business and residential community located in Williamsburg. The two-story, 16,000 foot facility will feature four drive-thru lanes and one drive-up ATM. The building was designed by Guernsey & Tingle Architects and is slated to open in January 2007.
