GLASTONBURY, Conn. — Open Solutions Inc. is partnering with a Florida-based maker of MICR laser printers and imaging software to offer the solutions to OSI clients who want to take advantage of Check 21 and substitute checks. OSI will be integrating and re-selling Rosetta Technologies Corp.’s IRDPrint solutions, tools that OSI already is using in its own item processing sites. The Tampa company’s enhanced software and MICR laser printers allow OSI clients to print either cash letter or image-replacement documents or both, the company says. “Community financial institutions have to be advanced enough to leverage image solutions to reduce cost and improve quality and service. Yet they have to be flexible enough to process paper, data and images. Open Solutions offers our clients the options they need to clear items–via paper or electronically–no matter what stage of technological evolution an institution may be in,” says Mark Ryan, vice president and general manager of Open Solutions Imaged Payment Technologies.
