GLASTONBURY, Conn. — Open Solutions Inc. says it's "gaining momentum among more traditional credit unions" with a basic version of its core processing platform.
So far this year, 32 credit unions have deployed or are in the process of deploying OSI's The Complete Credit Union Solution–Standard Market Edition (TCCUS-sme), the company says.
The solution is built around the open-relational architecture technology that helped drive OSI to widespread adoption by big, tech-savvy organizations, but does not include specific business or real-estate capabilities, OSI says.

"Our smaller clients wanted a 'scaled-down' version of our core data processing platform, TCCUS. They wanted the functionality of our open, relational architecture, but without all the business functionality. When the time is right, TCCUS-sme can grow with these smaller credit unions and they can evolve into the high-end featured version of TCCUS," says Richard Verhaaren, TCCUS-sme vice president and group general manager at OSI.
