AUSTIN, Texas — The Credit Union Information Security Professionals Association will hold its second-annual risk management summit on Jan. 28-31 in Fort Worth. The NCUA again will send information security officers from each of its regions to the 2007 conference, this time to be held at The Renaissance Worthington Hotel. The three-day event brings together credit union IT leaders from across the country to share best practices and experiences in dealing with security threats. A highlight at this year's initial summit in Austin was the NCUA panel discussion on regulatory requirements. "We are very pleased the NCUA will be returning," says Kelly Dowell, executive director of the CUISPA. "What makes the CUISPA Summit so valuable and unique is that it brings the two parties together, in a relaxed environment, outside of the examination process, where topics can be openly discussed." Complete details on the summit can be found at www.cuispa.org.
