Security Service Federal Credit Union, Fountain, Colo., has announced that Service Center Manager Angela Hoyle received the Colorado Springs Business Journal Rising Star Award at a recent ceremony. The Rising Star program recognizes business leaders under 40 who have made significant contributions to their professional industry and to the community. Hoyle has been employed at SSFCU for over 20 years and has progressively advanced to positions of increased responsibility during her career. Most recently, Hoyle realized her most extensive business accomplishment as she single-handedly directed the opening of the credit union's newest service center in Fountain in 2005. In addition to her professional duties, Hoyle has assumed a leadership role in many civic activities. Spectrum Federal Credit Union, San Francisco, was recognized at a thank you reception hosted by the San Francisco Food Bank. Spectrum FCU was honored with the Apple Corps Achievement Award for its volunteer efforts. Apple Corps members are corporate volunteers that provide weekly, monthly or quarterly support to the San Francisco Food Bank, ensuring thousands of San Francisco families and individuals receive nutritious food year round.
