SHELTON, Wash. — After 65 years of serving the community, the $171 million Simpson Community Credit Union is changing its name to Our Community Credit Union. The change was effective as of Sept. 1.

"We feel this change makes sense in order to position the credit union to better serve our members and to allow for greater growth and expansion into the future," said Joe Robertson, president/CEO. "The name change is a move that will accurately reflect the members and the communities it serves."

Formed in 1941, the credit union started as Simpson Employees Federal Credit Union.
