NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Mark Shobe, CEO of the $1.8 billion DFCU Financial will take the stage with David Adams, CEO of the Michigan Credit Union League, during the MCUL's upcoming league Executive Summit Oct. 12-13.

Shobe will participate in the Summit's League Update and Dialogue session where, Adams said, he will also take questions about the once and future direction of his credit union, Michigan's largest.

"From the perspective of the league, we are delighted that Mark chose to participate in the Summit," said Adams. "DFCU is the largest Michigan credit union and plays a critical role in our industry," he added. He also said Shobe would likely limit his answers on DFCU to things not currently in litigation.

Recently, the MCUL asked for the credit union to reconcile with its members that have sued it, but Adams said the league has not heard from either side in the dispute. The DFCU Owners United group sued DFCU to force the credit union to hold the special meeting at which some or all of the board of directors could be recalled.
