ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Effective Oct. 1, Larry Fazio will take over as deputy director of the Office of Examination and Insurance.
Fazio will be responsible for the safe and sound operation of the NCUSIF and the development and monitoring of examination and supervision procedures for federally insured credit unions. This includes management of the examination program and the collection and evaluation of financial data submitted by credit unions.
Fazio joined NCUA in 1991 as an examiner in Chicago and worked his way up. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Lewis University, is a Certified Management Accountant, and is pursuing a master's degree in organizational management at George Washington University.
