ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA announced that it will hold its sixth annual Budget Briefing and Public Forum on Oct. 18 in the boardroom at the agency's Alexandria, Va. headquarters.

"NCUA is funded by credit unions not federal tax dollars, and using credit union money wisely is an NCUA commitment year after year," NCUA Chairman JoAnn Johnson said. "An important step in the funding process is formulating the agency's budget in an open venue, in full view of the financial public." She invited public participation.

CUNA, NAFCU, and NASCUS are regular participants.
