WASHINGTON — Congresswoman Judy Biggert (R-Ill.) was the latest to agree to speak at NAFCU's Congressional Caucus at press time. Biggert will be the featured speaker at the NAFCU/PAC breakfast held in conjunction with Congressional Caucus Wed., Sept. 20. Biggert is a member of the House Financial Services Committee and a founding member and the co-chair of the Financial and Economic Literacy Caucus. Other scheduled congressional speakers at NAFCU's Caucus Sept. 17-20 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. include House Financial Services Committee Chairman Mike Oxley (R-Ohio) and Ranking Member Barney Frank (D-Mass.), Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee Chairman Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) and Ranking Member Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), House reg relief author Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas), original CURIA co-sponsors Ed Royce (R-Calif.) and Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa.), and National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Reynolds (R-N.Y.).
From the administration, Treasury Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions Emil Henry and all three NCUA Board members will address the audience, expected to reach near 500 credit union representatives.
Political analyst Larry Sabato will keynote the event.
