ORLANDO, Fla. — FAIRWINDS Credit Union has once again been named in the Orlando Sentinel's Top 100 Companies for Working Families 2006.
Climbing up two spots from last year, FAIRWINDS CU is now ranked 23rd.
The annual contest recognizes employers in the Central Florida area who value the sense of family and create a balanced environment between work and home life.

With a focus on the success and happiness of its "crewmembers," the credit union has created an environment in which staffers with families feel comfortable, welcome, and accommodated.
For example, during the past two hurricane seasons, FAIRWINDS provided daycare for employees with children who were not able to attend school during school cancellations. Volunteer crewmembers provided on-site supervised play, activities including video games, and snacks and meals for kids of all ages.
"The expressions of relief and gratitude on the faces of our crewmembers made it all worthwhile" said Human Resource Manager Julie Worthen. "Ranking above last year on the Top 100 list further illustrates that as FAIRWINDS continues to grow, our goal of going above and beyond for crewmembers and members remains strong."
