HARRISBURG, Pa. — eCU Technologies is developing an interface with the Symitar core system that will provide an entry for S1 Corp.'s business banking technology into the credit union space.
S1, an Atlanta-based provider of online banking and other consumer-facing products to more than 3,000 financial institutions, and eCU Technologies, the tech CUSO of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union, expect to release the interface this fall.
The solution calls for a single SymConnect interface to connect S1′s online, ATM and voice banking modules with credit unions using Symitar's popular Episys core platform.

S1 (www.s1.com) recently presented a series of Webinars on small-business banking for credit unions and participated in a Symitar users group meeting in June.
"We have seen a substantial increase in the number of credit unions that are moving into the small-business space and there is a definite need to provide them with a member business service solution that is tightly integrated with their core system," says Baron Unbehagen, the company's senior director of product development and marketing. Alan Brunner, COO of eCU Technologies (www.ecutechnologies.com), says the joint effort will provide Symitar clients an online solution through an interface that posts online and real-time to their core system. "Integration is a key component in the success of any product," Brunner says. "We are excited about our relationship with S1 and the future opportunities for growth."
