MADISON, Wis. — Effective, Aug. 23, John Henry, senior vice president, MEMBERS Financial Services, Sales, has resigned from the company.

Credit Union Times has learned that Henry, who oversaw MEMBERS Financial, will be replaced by Steve Dowden, who has been named interim leader. Dowden will also have responsibility for executive benefits and long-term care sales. A division of CUNA Mutual Group, MEMBERS Financial provides personal financial management services for credit union members.

No further details were available on why Henry left the company. Henry had been with CUNA Mutual since 1989. In 2000, Henry was named CEO of MEMBERS Development Co., which was formed by 37 credit unions and CUSOs to expand member services and relationships throughout the industry. Henry was also instrumental in the launch and promotion of MEMBERS Trust Co., the only nationally-chartered trust firm set up to serve credit unions.
