ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA Vice Chairman Rodney E. Hood met up with Congressman Walter B. Jones (R-N.C.) during a league town hall meeting in their home state of North Carolina.

The meeting, held at Marine Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, was organized by the North Carolina Credit Union League and provided a forum to discuss the critical role credit unions play in the economy. Hood and Jones also took questions from the audience of credit union executives.

"We enjoyed a frank discussion about how credit unions are making a powerful difference in people's lives," Hood said. "I thank the North Carolina Credit Union League and Marine Federal Credit Union for making this meeting possible and I commend Congressman Jones for being so attentive to the great work credit unions are doing in communities in North Carolina and across America."
