Georgia Federal Credit Union, Duluth, Ga., recently awarded a $1,000 grant to the St. Vincent de Paul Society through its Catholic Community Charitable Giving Fund. The fund was established following the merger of Greater Atlanta Catholic Federal Credit Union with Georgia Federal Credit Union and is managed by committee members of the Catholic Advisory Board. The Renaissance Program of the Saint Vincent de Paul Council Office was selected for its contribution to providing financial assistance to legal immigrants who are highly skilled or educated in their selected professions to become recertified to assume the same professions in the U.S.
