VACAVILLE, Calif. — Travis Credit Union has named Sh?rry Cordonnier director of corporate relations.
No stranger to the credit union, Cordonnier has served as a consultant for Travis CU for over 10 years. As principal of the Cordonnier Group, she spent over three decades providing organizations with effective strategic communications, media relations, political advocacy, crisis communications, issues management, employee communications, community relations and spokesperson training. The company's clients include major universities, government agencies, medical and financial institutions, communications entities and businesses in the public, nonprofit and private sector.
"There is no one better suited for this position than Sherry. We are excited to have her join us as a member of our team," said president/CEO Patsy Van Ouwerkerk. "She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of not only Travis Credit Union, but also the entire credit union industry."

In her new position, Cordonnier will oversee the design and implementation of public relations, communications strategies and programs promoting Travis CU products, services and corporate image. She will also direct the credit union's public, government community outreach and community affairs activities.
Over the years, Cordonnier has won several awards for her work including the International Summit Award, four National Vision awards and five Public Relations Society of America Excellence in Public Relations awards.
