LONG BEACH, Miss. — Triton, the ATM manufacturing subsidiary of the Dover Corporation, has opened a new facility in Memphis, Tennessee, several hundreds of miles inland from its production facility and headquarters in Long Beach.

The ATM manufacturer weathered the 2005 hurricanes, but sustained damage and was knocked out of production for a time.

The new facility and additional staff is part of Triton's implementation of plans to provide back-up capabilities as part of its disaster preparedness. It houses the company's technical training department, along with additional staff for technical support, customer service, parts and repair operations.

“This service and support facility greatly enhances our overall capabilities to provide support to our customers globally,” said Gavin Cushman, a vice president with Triton “With the office being located near a distribution hub, one key advantage is the ability to provide quicker turnaround on parts orders which are received later in the day.

“In the event of a natural disaster, having a back up service and systems infrastructure will minimize the impact such an event will have on our customers,” said Cushman.
