DULUTH, Ga. — Georgia Central Credit Union will host free investment seminars for its members this fall. The seminars will be held throughout the state Sept. 19-21. The purpose of these sessions is to educate members about the prospects for the U.S. economy in 2007 and appropriate investments in the current market, and to provide an overview of Georgia Central's investment options. Chief Investment Officer Cory Johnston will lead the roundtable seminars. During the first half of the program, Johnston will dissect the causes and effects of the new phase of slower economic growth, providing member credit unions with the information they need to stay a step ahead of the changing environment. The second half will feature Director of Investment Sales Sarina Freeland, who will illustrate how credit unions can use investment and liquidity products to withstand the impending shift in interest rates. Sessions will be held in Duluth, Brunswick and Valdosta.
