Wanigas Federal Credit Union, Saginaw, Mich., participated in the 2006 Saginaw Township Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The event raises money to help find a cure for many forms of cancer and honors cancer survivors, caregivers and cancer victims. The Wanigas FCU team sold candy bars, bracelets, and stickers, collected individual pledges, and held blue jean days where employees paid to wear jeans to raise $5,694.01 for the American Cancer Society. For the second year in a row, the team received the award for the most money raised for this event.
