MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – As temperatures soared up to 100 degrees, TopLine Federal Credit Union helped the 18th annual Maple Grove Days Pierre Bottineau Parade attendees stay cool.

Credit union staffers and family teamed up to distribute some 5,000 ice-cold bottles of water, branded with TopLine's logo, to Twin Cities residents enjoying the parade. In addition, young family members of TopLine staff handed out bubble bottles and candy to the children at the parade.

Over 15,000 gathered along a one-and-a-half mile route to watch the 113-unit parade, billed as one of the largest parades in the Twin Cities suburban community. “We are very excited to have participated as a Gold Leaf Sponsor of this year's Maple Grove Days celebration,” said Diane Welter, marketing and communications manager for TopLine. “The energy surrounding this event is a testament to the strength of this vital, growing community, and our sponsorship was a perfect complement to the credit union philosophy of community-wide involvement. And when you're handing out 2 tons of ice-cold water from a refrigerated truck on a 94-degree day, it goes without saying that we were indeed a very popular item!”
